I often get this message here and on Worth1000...
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'
[MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver]Too many connections

I donated on Worth1000, I hope that money will go to repair this continual problem....

AARGH! This is frustrating.
Okay. Jax isn't running a charity, and it's his sandbox-
But perhaps some small ads and a "donate" link?

I'm still all for the "ladies of Plime" charity calendar. all moneys made can go to addressing any problems.....on a side note I'll be selling travel Kleenex the day the calendar comes out. 5 bucks for one travel size Kleenex.

Isn't it a bad practice to display page errors anyway? A redirect to a "We're having difficulties" page would be pretty easy. But a server or bandwidth upgrade would remove them altogether!

The downtime has something to do with how the categories are set up and the way google archives everything. It tends to overload the servers (despite upgrades) and crash the site... at least temporarily.
I'm just glad it's moving lightning fast today.

BC, I edited your thread title in order to make it a "real" FAQ - no offense.

This is an intermittent bug. Usually when this happens you will see your entry on your home page but it will show as blank.
One work-around I've found is go to the link showing on your home page such as:
you'll see that it shows as a blank page. [at the time of writing this]
What you need to do is edit the link.
How do you edit it without being given a edit button?
Take a look at a typical edit url:
The last number "57766" is the link number
the '19' number is the number signifying the 'technology' category.
I don't have the numbers for each of the categories here on this computer but you can easily find the one you want by going to whichever category you submitted lost articles like the one at
and look at the edit url of one of the other articles in that category.
then manually enter
www.plime.com/c.p?pid=CN&id=57761
substitute CN for the proper category number
you don't need to actually change anything in the article just save it and it will appear
