This happened a few minutes ago.
I work at one of my coworkers desk, installing a new hard drive. She is not here today. As I sit down my knee kicks her desk, on the other side a rotating drawer pops open. So far it was funny. The drawer is full of skulls. Little, 2-3 inch diameter lizard or frog skulls. That was a bit of a shock. And as the rotating drawer rotates out even further, there are condiments in plastic bags next to them. A closer look reveals, that some of the skulls are clean, but on some of them there is some meat left. Looks like scrapped off by teeth.
Is there any food like that on the markets? Is it possible to buy frog head in any store in the US? Is she just weird or did she open me a new window to fresh culinary experiences? Does anyone know anything about lizard or frog head snacks?
====After Edit===
I actually measured the largest, it is 4 and 1/4 inch long.

Oh my god! I hope they're pulling a prank on you. That's disgusting. I would never never ever be able to look that person in the eyes again. Then, if I was ever behind them on the elevator, I would just whisper things in their ear, like "I know your secret, lizard head eater."

I'm concerned about several things. Is he as she or is she a he, you've mentioned both so I'm curious.

Regardless, where can I get a rotating drawer desk?

Does amphibian/reptile meat really need ketchup? Ewww, ketchup! :P

Maybe she has a nifty pond near her home (is it a she?) and this is her hobby which also keeps her fed.

Nobody knew I will work there today. Nobody saw what happened. And the girl is rather friendly. I have no problems looking into her eyes again. Lots of things can be forgiven to friendly girls.

She.
I have corrected the typo. I was a bit stirred (not shaken) by the events, and my spelling is far from correct most of the time anyways.

OK, they are definitely not frog skulls. I have looked up on the internet. Most frog skulls look like this

The ones I see are much longer. I got to bring a camera with me on Monday. I will put online some photos if the skulls will still be there.

Well, so far the rattle snake heads are the closest match.
Oh boy, this girl eats rattlesnakes for snack. Better be careful.
Well, it might not be rattlesnake. I'm not sure yet.
Still it is funny. Rattle snacks. It might be alarming that she keeps the skulls.

If that is a prank, then I would work my ass off to be friends with this girl, because that kind of prank-brain is the kind you want on YOUR side.

Some people collect skulls. There's a lot of work involved in cleaning a skull enough to display, and specific standards regarding documentation of collection.

So it could just be that she's found the skulls between home and work and would rather have them decompose at home than at work (disturbing, still).

This entire situation is disturbing. But not surprising. I don't get surprised anymore by the crazy sh*t people do. Not that people are doing more crazy sh*t than generations previously, but that now, with the internet, it is much easier for people to show other people the crazy sh*t they do...

Especially if you chew the meat off of them.

I will nick some and smuggle back when I made some pictures. Nobody should realize on Thanksgiving that some of them are missing. I am pretty sure nobody will come in during the weekend.

Just assume I'm looking at you like my avatar right now.

That would not make much sense, nobody keeps personal items around. Often people get informed about getting assigned to a new team, when they come in in the morning and all their items are already carried to their new desk. For similar reasons they don't keep personal files on the computer: it might get upgraded and they might never see the old one ever again. This means nobody pokes around, there is nothing to find. I work here since a decade, the only thing that ever popped up for anyone was when my boss opened someone's browser, and his homepage was set to the subscription page of playboy.

OK, I made some photos:

On the side there seems to be an opening where lower jaw could be attached, but I did not find any lower jaws. As I look at the pictures, they look far less flat than they really are. In other respects they are OK.
Could this be some kind of fish or snake? Maybe a bat?
