Hawk absconds with family pet
Hawk absconds with family pet
A doggie day care left him outside in a fenced in area for a few minutes. When the dog walker returned, the pooch was gone with no manner of escape evident. A nearby hawk flew off with him. picked by moe 10 months ago

Oh man, that's horrible. But it's also funny as hell. This happened to my cousin's friend, when he took his gerbil outside, a hawk snatched it from his hands, and ate it in a nearby tree.

I've got a 122 lb shepherd, would take a big hawk.

And a dumb one.

I have a 115lb Rottie that tries to stalk birds.

He's not very sneaky.

no witnesses? i bet something else happened. maybe there was an accident and the dog got killed and they're covering up that up. or maybe they sold the dog. who knows. i'm skeptical. there are hawks around here. there are more pet thieves and swindlers, though.

Maybe instead of being carried off by a hawk, it was a Prada handbag. The last thing the dog saw before he was taken was a pair of JimmyChoo's.

My parents bred their dog and had the puppies all nestled up in a box in the living room. My step dad looked out the window and there was a hawk sitting on the neighbour's roof, watching and waiting.
I would go over there and stay outside with all the babies and be on guard to save any puppy that was assumed lunch.

You better hope a roc doesn't fly by looking for a snack.
