I can see how people would be offended, but since he did the same to Mickey Mouse and ET I'm thinking he probably has 'issues' or something. Without some kind of controversy, many artists wouldn't get any publicity at all..you have to wonder how that factors in too.

This is the very definition of non-story - it has been entirely invented by the Daily Mail.

I saw it in their freebie rag Metro.co.uk over a week ago and thought it might make an interesting post.

I'm generally quite picky about my sources though and had a bit of a look into to it to try and find the best angle. The only coverage I could find anywhere was the Mail written article reprinted word for word.

It's taken, as I say, over a week to make it elsewhere, and even with a cursory glance at the article it should leap out that by paragraph three they're reduced to talking about how much The Baltic cost to rejuvenate.

And the actual "shock" this has caused? Four letters.

The streets are hardly running with blood.
