Guy does a search to find photos with the most number of people marking it as "favorite." The flickr photo definitely wins the most annotated!

The waves one looks like a well-timed snapshot. The one with the trees and the light rays (#3) was better. Yes, you are right. It looks like any of a million other wave shots. "Well timed" usually means the best shot out of dozens. Not really a matter of timing.
I posted it mainly for the other images and the shock of seeing so many annotations.
