8 Film Classics Condensed to a Single Picture
8 Film Classics Condensed to a Single Picture
This explores the idea of distilling a whole film down to one single image. Using eight of my favourite films from eight of my most admired directors including Sidney Lumet, Francis Ford Coppola and John Boorman, each film is processed through a Java program written with the processing environment. picked by fogowar 5 months ago

Its very interesting haha, but the pictures were really small and I couldn't see the details. Maybe that is the point I dunno.

When I first read the title I thought characters from 8 films were photo shopped into one picture which would also be cool.

"Single picture"? Bull.

Thousands of small images all aligned together doesn't make a "single image".

I agree with 2many; that's not a single image, it's a bunch of little ones. However, I was very amused with how much the Vertigo dream sequence stands out from the rest of the film.

By selecting and displaying pieces of each picture, you can rebuild the movie, albeit in fast-forward and very low resolution.

Same process is used for animating sprites. :D
