I dont think it has. There seems to be a light source from both the left and the right. The cleavage seems to be where the shadows from the lapels overlap.
The again, the skin tones do look a bit dodgy around the area in question.
i don't think so, you can see the shadow edges from the left and right lightsource, and only where they overlap it's that dark. Bad light placement? Yes. Altered? nah.
I think it was. It doesn't look natural, of coarse, a higher resolution pic would cinch it for all of us, but I find it more interesting that, The company "invited the girl and her mother to their studio to try and recreate the conditions of the picture hoping to prove there was no alteration." Instead, couldn't the company prove this with either negatives if shot with standard film camera or exif or original data if shot by digital? Someone with more photographer's studio knowledge please help me with this one, is this possible?

Dont think it was edited. My question to the parent would be just have it reshot and get rid of the jacket. The photographer shouldve used a big ol softbox.
Eyewitness News showed the photo to several photography professionals who all said it appeared to have been doctored and likely was not a natural shadow.
I would like to know who those professionals were...because THEY should have said "Let's see the Negative or exif."
