Planetary line-up excites the sun Posted: 5 months ago by AutumnLotus

But Wilson is cautious.

"It is one thing to show an association and quite another to show cause and effect. We have to be very careful, but we will know in a few years," he says.

So, is this bogus, or is this theory correct?
(I put commas everywhere, cause I don't know any better)

This is an hypothesis, an initial guess if you will. Theories have explanatory predictive power and typically encompass several hypotheses.

I'm not trying to jab you directly Bornbad, its just that the scientific weight of the word theory has been diluted by the media and society in general. :)
