The instore guy completely lied to me--I was getting ready to move and was assured that they had good service in the area I was moving to.  Wrong!  10 miles from where I moved, sure, but here?  Not a chance.  I called, spent over an hour with tech support, and they very helpfully checked everything, determined there was nothing they could do and let me out of the contract with no fee.  Even refunded a portion of the monthly bill.  <br/><br/>Now I have Verizon, and I'm not overly unhappy with it.  I'd be happier with a cheaper plan, but I won't complain.<br/><br/>One thing to check is to see if your employer offers any sort of a discount with any of the providers. At my job, I have the ability to royally screw people over (garnish wages, take taxes, etc) but I also have the ability to keep that from happening, and even make monthly payments be $0. I had AT&amp;T, not bad but their CS is abysmal, don't expect any real help, you'll get the guy that knows zip plus bull about anything but he'll try to sell you an upgrade.<br/><br/>I don't actually have cell phone service within 20 miles of my house.  None of the carriers, <i>none</i> of them cover this area, I have to drive about 20 miles.  My bro and sis-in-law can get coverage (with sprint/nextel) about 5 minutes from here but they have a different phone.  *shrug*  I don't care because I don't use the thing.  There is a plan to put a frankentower somewhere in town...don't know if it will help me and don't particularly care.  If you want to call me call me house phone, if I'm not immediately available, I'll call you back. I'm looking for a plan where Zach and I can both get new phones, I can keep my phone number, and we can pay less than $40 a month. Is that even possible?
