I think what they're trying to express here is that Harry Potter might make witchcraft and the occult more attractive to children.

It makes you wonder if the Pope had ever opened a HP book to actually read it. I haven't read them but eljay is an avid HP fan and she hasn't been drawn "to the dark side".

The Harry Potter books are a fun read and I don't understand why anyone would condemn them. With all of the violence/sex on TV, and Soap Operas with terribly immoral story lines, why would anyone single out harry potter?
