'9/11 attacks made up, ' says French best actress Oscar-winner
Actress Marion Cotillard sparked a political row yesterday after accusing America of fabricating the 9/11 attacks.

Obviously the Oscar wasn't awarded for brains. Unreal. picked by DerAlt1 5 months ago

I posted this a long time ago. Some may feel this site is a bit biased, however, the time-line linked cites other non-biased sources, which lend credence if not pure fact to the complicity of Bush&Co.

All that being said, the destruction of those towers had nothing to do with their age and for this French tart to exclaim that 3000 people lost their lives for that is in itself an atrocity.

That moron probably doesn't even believe that American's saved her grandparents from the Germans. It is because of that liberation that she is free to make an ass out of herself.

« 1thirteen3 : Um, did anyone actually read the article?

She says nothing about the attacks not happening, but that she questions who did it. If it was the american government (like she was insinuating), then it wouldn't have been an "attack" per se, right?

I don't see what the big deal is. She obviously watched Loose Change and took her lines directly from that. It's a fascinating documentary, by the way, for those who haven't seen it.

EDIT: This is an extremely biased article, as it claims that she's anti-american and actually believes the events didn't happen...
Ummm, yes I did read the article. I have never seen Loose Change, or even heard of it. It is not my fault she is quoting a movie that I have never seen or heard of. I read the article. It was my opinion based on what I thought she said. I would like her to do some research and make her own conclusions then I might say something else. As for walking on the moon, what in the world does that have to do with what happened on 9/11? I happen to believe it was a real event even tho I wasn't alive at the time.

« tdiggity : I believe there was SOME sort of conspiracy behind 9/11, be it government involvement or someone just letting it happen or whatever.

I also don't believe that we landed on the moon.
"con·spir·a·cy /kənˈspɪrəsi/ Pronunciation Key [kuhn-spir-uh-see] –noun, plural -cies.
1. the act of conspiring.
2. an evil, unlawful, treacherous, or surreptitious plan formulated in secret by two or more persons; plot.
3. a combination of persons for a secret, unlawful, or evil purpose: He joined the conspiracy to overthrow the government.
4. Law. an agreement by two or more persons to commit a crime, fraud, or other wrongful act.
5. any concurrence in action; combination in bringing about a given result."

Good point. It WAS a conspiracy, among pseudo-Islamic terrorists to cause great damage to their perceived enemy, America. The only fault of our own government was the stupid bureaucratic failure to get them before they got us...

Who ever lurkingly down-voted my first comment on the first comment page, I want you to know that I am personally going to upvote myself there for the sake of balancing out your douchiness infringing upon me.

I thought with all the conversation on the forums about such self-centered attacks, that this kind of crap was over. The general guidelines of behavior here at Plime are their for the sake keeping discussions like the one you see here from another useless bias in the world of already perpetuated misinformation.

Yeah, but you do not have to have every pigment to see the whole picture.
The picture isn't whole with pieces missing, and of something of this scale, I'm not going to attempt using my own knowledge (lack) to fill in the gaps just to call it done.

« 1thirteen3 : And, why, may I ask is it a completely ridiculous movie?

Are we just supposed to sit and not question anything that happens?

I'm not saying that it's true...but there's a world out there that many people haven't been exposed to. The whole situation regarding 9/11 is extremely fishy..including the 9/11 Commission Report, the collapse of Tower 7, and the speed at which the towers fell.

I've done quite a bit of research into the subject, and while I'm not willing to assert that the government planned 9/11 and executed it, I will say that I believe 100% for sure that the official story is not true.

"Dissent is the highest form of Patriotism"
Yeah, it's easy to get seduced by the "but you don't know, it COULD BE TRUE" argument but the fact is, that reasoning is ridiculous. Almost never is there a conspiracy, because historically, after everything comes out, there just aren't that many.

Also the number of people who would have had to keep quiet about the biggest event in history is mind boggling. The thing that's REALLY hard to believe is that the US government could ever vet people that well. I don't think so.

I agree... and she certainly doesn't form a very good argument. "Thanks for this award. By the way, 9/11 was a conspiracy. Thank you."

Forget Loose Change. For those who haven't seen Zeitgeist, I highly recommend investing the two hours to watch it. I don't know how so many people have missed it.

Either way, she's free to believe whatever she wants. Just because she has a certain belief doesn't make her a bad actor or cause any reason to boycott her. Until I see the actualy video I'm going to have to assume that she has the right to say whatever she wants or believes and her opinon on politics doesn't change her acting ability..

Read: Lets use scientifically validated phenomenon to support an illogical conclusion that states that questioning the way things appear to be means there is something wrong with you and God needs to fix you! Then add a red herring in the form of Creationism and declare a resounding victory for pseudo-scientific bulls**t!

« donteatpoop:Call me a nut (wouldn't be the first time) but I believe there is a lot about 9/11 that we haven't been told. I won't go into theories because they are just theories, but I don't believe that everything is as it was reported.

I see a lot of people mention that there are a ton of loopholes in Loose Change, but I don't see anyone pointing them out. I listen to everything with an open mind, and I put no evil past what our government is capable of doing (if they feel it's for the greater good).

That being said, an Oscar acceptance speech is the wrong format for this.

By the way, we landed on the moon. I'm not scientist but I can at least diffuse the theory that we wouldn't be able to make it out of our atmosphere by pointing out that we are all capable of watching television (or checking google earth) thanks to the satellites that made it through that atmosphere to orbit the earth.
Amen to that! All I ever hear from people is what nut jobs we are for questioning the *official* story, with nothing of interest or to contradict what information I am sharing.

Just "Meh, I don't believe"

Sheeple.

The sad thing is that there is something MUCH more heinous brewing right now and the majority of the country is happily sleeping away or engaging in childish polarized bickering. Sometimes I have to wonder if what has become of the American people isn't some sort of self inflicted mass psychosis.

I still love you all.

I love you!! Long time no see. I agree with what you said.

Not sure it is self inflicted psychosis, but it could be *inflicted* none the less.
