I Had an anti-virus alert both times I tried to go on this site.

Plus It's Reddit/Digg traffic-bait story. There is absolute no way this guy got stopped from flying because of a Transformers t-shirt. IMO

Funny, but I though jax recently pointed out that he wanted "us" to improve the quality of posts on plime, not encourage obviously spurious non-articles (IMO like this one.

Sandossu's submitted some great stories recently, this IMO isn't one of them.

Why do you feel the need to be snarky about this 2many? If I submit crap it gets downvoted as well you know 2many, which is exactly how plime should work.

When it's pointed out to you that one of your articles isn't true you get pissy.

When it's pointed out to you that the article isn't the best for plime, you get very pissy.

Also no one makes false claims that they had virus alerts when accessing the site for articles you submit.

Your comment about Jax asking for better articles is hilarious considering that the vast majority (perhaps totality) of your articles come straight from other sites such as plime which what we are not supposed to do. I notice Neatorama and LaughingSquid (among many others) are some of your favorite sites.

When you get downvoted, again you get very very pissy. The only time you get more pissy is when someone calls you out for downvoting someone maliciously. You feel that your downvotes are righteous but get very very pissed off when you are downvoted.


When you are downvoted it isn't for personal reasons. That is my main grief with your actions. Your real reason for downvoting this is was posted by sandossu. Not because of anything else.

You were able to single handily downvote him to negative status because of self-link posts he posted in the past before the rules were explained to him. Yes deleted articles can be brought back, provided they are found in time

You could get thousands and thousands and more thousands and thousands of votes and you wouldn't be brought down to negative status. You are bullet-proof. A new member - or a member who was able to return after being banned by one user is not bullet proof.

You say he is posting great articles, yet you are still down voting them.
I would ask why you haven't upvoted any of his articles if you thought they were "great", but I won't since you rarely upvote any articles that weren't posted by you.

What shirt? I thought by that point he was already changing his shirt. What shirt was he going to put on that would have gotten him arrested. I don't get it.

Either way, they should have let him on the plane. But if this is how it is, I'll remember not to wear my IDF shirt next time I fly.

Some have gotten an warning. That is the problem with heuristic detection, the number of false alarms is immense, more than actual detections probably.

Still he is correct that the whole story is probably false.

Such false alarms are common with modern heuristic virus scanners. I should have thought of that.

Can someone explain to me what this quote means? Why would they do this?

People put out fake, outrageous stories simply to get traffic through sites and to gain popularity on sites such as Digg and Reddit. It's a kind of marketing ploy to gain exposure that leads to an influx of seemingly interesting but untrue stories.

I've submitted one such story completely naively as I'm not really into the whole Digg, reddit and all the blogging scene.

Why are there crappy "flame wars" occurring? a downvote is based on opinion of story, not anything else, so why hold a grudge, agree to disagree, or even just start acting like adults(please note this is in reference to 2many and doggylives)
