Shocking Baby Launch Video Lands Teen Behind Bars Posted: 5 months ago by bingo
LEESBURG, Ga. — A Georgia teen is facing child cruelty charges after an online video showed a young man launching a baby several feet across a room using an inflatable pillow.
The video posted on YouTube shows the boy putting a baby on one side of a large yellow pillow and then jumping on the pillow, sending the child flying several feet across the floor, where the baby lands and cries.

I haven't been able to get this story out of my head all night. I am night shift 12 hours and I sit and read plime with my first coffee of the night. This has been just killing me though. The complete lack of every human instinct put on hold or missing. I can't imagine what mental gymnastics I would have to do to give up every part of being a man, being human, that tells me to protect, nurture, care for or lay down my life to protect a child. What the hell is missing in this young man's life that this is, let alone in the realm of something possible to do, fun or funny? I really enjoy plime but sometimes the stories are just devestating. I am glad the plimates mix it up with both good and bad...even though the bad is to much for me sometimes.

In all fairness it would be very funny if you could forget for a moment that babies are ridiculously fragile and need to be guarded against even the smallested injurys.

I think what makes it worse for me is that my baby is the same age as that baby. I know it sounds so cliche, but it just reminds me of my little guy. Like what if that was my baby, etc. Even though the kid that did it was a teen, and still young, he should have had enough common sense and common decency to not put someone else's child in danger like that. That baby was left in the care of the teen's family. The teen made a HUGE breech of trust. He will be lucky if the baby's parents dont sue. I know I would be hard pressed not to sue. I also know I wouldnt trust the family ever again. It makes you wonder what happened to the teen involved (and the one videotaping, he/she is not exempt either) to make him lose the natural instinct to protect a infant. My 3 yr old and 5 yr old have enough common sense to know you dont do something stupid like that to anyone, let alone a baby.

I am glad the baby was OK. If I were that mom, I would tell the kid to get the f away from my baby. I would also need the cops holding me back so I didnt hurt the teen. My husband, well, he would probably end up in jail for hitting the cop to get to the teen. It is sad that the mom is now afraid to leave her baby with anyone.
