We scour city for the cheapest drink prices. If the drinks are really cheap I will tip 50-100% If the drinks are not cheap I usually scale my tips back to about 25-40%.
It is not cheap to drink out when you are an ex bartender.On the whole though, that would probably be balanced out by the non-bartending patrons.
As I'm sure you noticed when you tended bar yourself, generosity increases with alcohol consumed for most people.
On that score, quite a cunning plan.
