Yeah, I know.

I guess I shouldn't have said I'm only counting adaptations of "very well known sources", but rather "sources with a huge existing fanbase".

Both of those are fairly well-known books, but they don't have nearly the following of something like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, or any number of comic books.

War Games was a kickass movie...ranked right up there with "Short Circuit" (anyone see any resemblence to Wall-E?) for me as a kid growing up. AHHH the acoustic coupler and 300 baud...please STOP me before I get on the subject of LOGO. They should leave this movie alone, it was perfect, and innovative and ripe for the time, all you can hope for the sequel is that it is a huge gigantic flop.

Battle Royale,Logan’s Run,Last House On The Left,Westworld.

these movies were ahead of their time. a remake will do one of 2 things. completely kick ass! or totally fail. there wont be much middle ground. Westworld is one of my favorite movies, I'm kinda excited at the prospect of a remake with the exception of the absence of Yul Brenner.
