The black and white photo is my friend Roland. We went to jr and sr high togehter. He lived in a bad neighborhood. He was shot and killed.
There is one kinda funny thing about the article though:
“He was so alive until a few days ago,” Storck said.
(well duh)
Him and his younger brother Levi were best friends. they were ALWAYS together. even when levi got into the punk scene and Roland was still in math club. roland was really nerdy and awesome. he was on scholarship to the most expensive school in kansas
i had heard about the shooting and knew two people were killed, but i had no idea it was anyone i cared about

Yeh, people dying is never good especially when they get shot :( Nope, just 20. This is the third friend I've lost to a gun. The first one was when I was 14, the second when I was 18.

Gosh, I am deeply sorry about your loss. Life is not easy as it is, things like these just make it so much harder.
I have never lost anyone to a gun, but I do despice the things just for the fact that 1 pull and everything is gone.

19- My grandpa to cigarette-induced cancer
20- My friend to a gun (homicide)
You get accustomed to it. It's still sad to know they're gone though.
