As wrong as this is, they need to be careful how they change the legislation.

Things like this are wrong, but probably a lighter shade of gray than a knife-point rape. (Perhaps a different level, like murder being Murder 1, Murder 2, etc.)

Also, depending on how they worded the law, any guy that says "I love you" just to get laid would be guilty of rape. A stupid liar, yes. A rapist, no.

How can that not be rape? I have posted many times stating that it is too easy for women to cry rape and ruin a person's life without any proof. I have posted the horrible insanity of people who try to make a man who has sex with a woman who is under any sort of intoxication guilty of rape, but if the women only has sex with you because you led her to believe you were her lover, how is that not rape?

I agree that what this guy did was rape. The law in that State, however, doesn't recognize deception as rape, only force. The article actually says that the court asked the legislators to change the law. This usually means that a judge wants to act, but can't because the law doesn't allow it. The LAW let her down here, not the court. The Law should be changed. Unfortunately, that is easy to say and much more difficult to do. Left too vague and you face abuse of the law by disgruntled girlfriends, to specific and you risk letting loose some truly evil f**k that deserves to die.
