A woman left her three-year-old daughter at a central Queensland school to teach her a lesson after she was naughty. The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was found wandering alone around Glenmore State School in Rockhampton's north just before 10am.

Defence solicitor Brian McGowran said his client was "having an exasperating time with her child".

Really. If had a nickel for every time I had an exasperating time with any of my kids, I would no longer be in debt!

That gives a slightly different angle to it.

It wasn't that she left the child alone for hours.

Might only have been 30 seconds. When I was a kid I could disappear in less time. And did, on numerous occasions.
