that's insane. especially since the person who did the piercing got a year in jail. why is it wrong for them to do the piercing, but not for the mother to request it? unbelievable.

Agree completetly. How in the world can the jury justify that this isn't punishment or malice. I think it is both. They is also a warrant for the mother's boyfriend who they think had sex with the girl. Did the Mom do this to prevent her "boyfriend" from having sex with her daughter? In that case it would be punishment. But since she was already acquitted she can't be tried for the same thing. This is absolutely disgusting.

Sounds to me like this was the mother getting her own back at the daughter for sleeping with the mothers boyfriend because she was p****d with her.
