If Washington wanted to do something to "boost the economy" they could start by relieving the stranglehold companies like Exxon have on the U.S. instead of bribing everyone.

Commodity traders seem to have even more influence than the oil companies.
Speculators have killed the housing market, at least here in FL, they don't help in the oil futures market either.
