I'm surprised they didn't go one step further and deem it an act of terrorism.

That is taking things way way way way too freaking far. A look can make someone a felon? No way.

First of all a look is hardly harmful, at least not in the same category as actual molestation.

Second of all what proof is there? How do you define excessive sexual look?

I would hope that a law such as this would not stand up in court.

If a middle-eastern country had a law like this we would be loudly denouncing the barbarism.

Madness. I expect a bill on Thoughtcrime to be passed by 2009.
Good night, and good luck.

Under the bill, if someone is arrested for viewing children in a public place, it would be a Class D felony if the child is between 12 to 14 years old and a Class C felony if the child is under 12, according to Alexander.
Are you serious? There are many teens that age which look much older and much more 'mature' than their age would suggest. And you would have them be considered a felon for looking at what they think is a 17+ girl in a mini skirt?
This is a very bad idea.

How does one visually assault someone?

That would be attempted murder. Police officers will arrive shortly to arrest you. We thank you for your cooperation.

seriously. this is another example of the WUSSIFICATION of america. seriously. some people have become hyper-sensitive. worse, these people know how to get legislation to work in their favor. the result? a kindergarten child is forced to receive psychiatric evaluation and have sexual harassment training after he kisses a kindergarten girl on the lips on the playground. some schools DONT EVEN ALLOW CHILDREN TO PHYSICALLY TOUCH AT ALL. parents can't spank an unruly child in public for fear of having the state take their children away from them. the pledge of allegiance was removed from schools because the word 'god' was offensive. Sienfeld's Kramer said the N-word and his career gets ruined, but Darnell and Tyrone can say it all day long and nobody stops them.
in arizona, a mountain range named Squaw Peak was renamed after over 100 years because it suddenly became offensive. isn't it time we as a society told these whiny, self-absorbed, hyper-sensitive pussies to 'SHUT THE f**k UP!'?
