I can not STAND people who abuse animals. I can look at the most gristly HUMAN gore day in and day out without flinching... i'm of the opinion that humans are jerks and EVERYONE has a karmatic asskicking on their tab anyway.

But to kick a sweet little kitten to death for just wanting some cuddles is unfathomably cold and evil.

And what's next? A toddler who wants a hug?

Get real. Call me an extremist but i think the punishment for animal cruelty should be much, much more universally severe than it is now.

It's disgusting what people do to animals, yet they receive a slap on the wrist and a small fine in most states. Animal cruelty, abuse, neglect laws must be changed.

And as ieldanth said, most cruelty against animals when it comes to killing or mutilating is the stepping stone for a serial killer. You see more and more juveniles mutilating animals, setting them on fire, beating them etc. It's disgusting.

I think the line that disturbed me the most was his response to why he did it:

"something had kicked in"

..That screams self-control issues. He may not have been as brutal as the others but that kind of lack of impulse control worries me.

I'm sure he'll be back in prison soon the next time a HUMAN does something he doesn't like. Hopefully he'll be headed to jail via the emergency room.
