His parents need to get a lesson on how to bring up a child with a conscience

The mom placed the baby in front of the car while having a verbal altercation with the driver. The driver bumped the stroller a couple of times, and the mom STILL did not move the stroller, AND continued to antagonize the driver!

No way should that driver have done what he did, but the mom shares some of the responsibility for what happened.

*eh?*But her mother says the normally playful and happy 9-month-old has seemed troubled ever since the incident.(I'm sure) But.......the mother was as responsible for the incident as the driver. (let's get the torches and axes out and find this guy) : )

Pisano says, in retrospect, that it probably was not prudent to walk in front of the car with the stroller.
Most 5 year-olds could tell you that.

While the kid is in no way excuseable for this, the mom really loses brownie points for leaving the baby in the middle of traffic, especially after the car started bumping it.

I agree the mother shares some responsibility, but wow. I probably would have killed the guy. It's so hard to imagine that someone would do that, let alone with so many witnesses.

Is it wrong for me to hope that the a-hole resists arrest so the cops can give him a proper beatdown?

OK, both are at fault here. Why would you put your baby at risk like that? I would likely yell curses at the driver as he went on his way, but I would NEVER put my baby in front of a car, ESPECIALLY, if there was alcohol in it. I wouldnt do it even if there wasnt alcohol in the vehicle. Both share the blame. The driver more so, but the mom isnt completely innocent in this.

It was completely silly of the mother to tell the driver she was going to call 911. What would have been more prudent was to get the license number of the car, and call 911--not telling him she was going to do that.

I guess in the heat of the moment her temper got the best of her and she couldn't think properly.

The driver should be imprisoned, IMHO.

Pisano saw the driver pull off and head into a nearby McDonald's restaurant drive-through, and she says the "mother bear" in her came out.

Mother bears don't stalk another creature once the threatening situation has passed. Mother bears will defend their cubs, but I've never been (or heard of anyone who has) chased down by a mama bear long after the aggressive encounter. I don't think this is "mother bear" behavior at all.
