I need to find the email address of the Dean of the art department on this site. I'm not sure if the art department even has a dean since there's only one art teacher, but I would like to know who he answers to and what their email address is.

The final straw was pulled today. It's letter of complaint time.

Looks like Carol Barr is support staff. I would start there.

Carol Bowen is the chair of the math department. You could call there, play dumb and tell her you're trying to reach the Art Department chair person.

Wow, what a design.

It must have no positive or negative space, only one color but with a dark and a light version of the color, only one shape is to be used and it must interlock with itself. I asked him if he had any examples because it sounds like for our design final he wants us to paint a puzzle. He said that was pretty much it, a puzzle. He told me he would show me an example after I show him what I'm thinking about for the project (sounds like he needs ideas of what he's looking for). I showed him a couple of sketches and he refused to show me an example. We eventually took our conversation outside. He told me that this isn't high school anymore, that this is a university design class. I told him that my junior high art class was more intense than this.

I told him that I like him as a person, but that this class is pathetic. There were things on the pre-test that ne never once discussed. He STILL hasn't talked about composition. It's like he assumes that everyone will just absorb knowledge from sitting in the same room as him.

I went to talk to my academic advisor, who is not who I was assigned to but is actually my old Psychology teacher. He told me that I wasn't being challenged enough (which is what my old English teacher told me before she let me test out of English 101 and 102). He also said that even though some students don't have the course requirements to get into honors classes, teachers have the authority to override that. After he checked the grade I got in his class last year (A), he told me he would let me in his Social Psychology class if I wanted. Hell yea I want in!

Wow, that sucks. This is the sort of project you do in art in middle school. And it's a "final" project?

He keeps talking like we're running with the big dogs now. It's so frustrating.

He even told me that if I already know all of this stuff then I'm wasting my time. I said, "YES! I AM wasting my time! I've BEEN wasting my time! I asked you to tell me my grade before the last day to withdraw and you DIDN'T! I wouldn't have asked that if I wasn't wasting my time!"

i get the impression that this guy is very egotistical with a machismo flair. Perhaps some kind of superiority complex...it seems like he treats you like an inferior person...

He really does seem to think he's all that and a bag of potato chips (woah, where did that come from?!).

He went to the school and that's why he works there I guess.

Ha..this sounds like some of my instructors. It's just sad that I actually have to pay for them to pretend to know what they're doing.
