Well, to everyone that always posts why can't they just do damage to themselves and leave everyone else alone.. at least he didn't take anyone with him. But I'm suprised they were able to get an extensive interview from the student. the second I saw someone in a gym with a gun I would've been headed for the door, I find it hard to believe that everyone just sat there and watched this. I guess that's the thing to do though since noone else was harmed.

I guess that's the thing to do though since noone else was harmed. I was going to say this...but dang it...plime crashed. I couldn't comment. But why didn't they head for the door? Maybe they were scared. WHo knows. It would be a horrible thing to witness. I remember about 10 years a guy pulled over on a freeway overpass(police chase) and he had a rifle and he shot himself. It was on the news. You saw it happen. That was horrifying enough, but to be right there. I am sorry this kid did this, but I have to say I am grateful he didn't take anyone else before him.

With all the shootings that have been going on, that coach who initially approached the kid had some real balls.
This is a sad story but, just like everyone else said, at least no one else got shot.
