I disagree. My public school was very lenient. While public schools are stressing conformity more now these days, it's the private schools that literally force you to conform or get out.

Holy crap, I actually saw a guy with lines shaved into his eyebrows TONIGHT in NYC. I thought he just had scars from piercings (my brother does) or that his hair just didn't grow there for some other reason. I don't know why he'd do it intentionally - he looked like a dumbass. Oh, wait, yeah I do - he did it because a no-talent idiot named "Soulja Boy" did it, which is actually a pretty good reason-pause-not (sorry, just watched Borat).

In high school, one of my friends had his eyebrows shaved off entirely during hockey hazing. It looked pretty crazy, and actually took insanely long to grow back. Like several months.

I think its a stupid trend, but that doesn't mean it's the school's business to force eyebrow shaving. That is ridiculous.

Even before people were "Cranking That", shaved eyebrows were the thing to do in gangs, esp. in England--the number of nicks would supposedly represent the number of people they've killed. Or some soccer fans would carve 2 to create an adidas-looking logo on their right eyebrow.

However, I can totally see how the MS-13, 1 and 3 would be unacceptable. Believe it or no, there are "gang" members of MS-13 and Bloods in Princeton. It's mainly disillusioned Hispanics and blacks who can't stand suburbia and associate themselves with a larger source of power--they don't do much other than break-ins to steal stuff and get into fights when females deny them dances when they slip into parties.

So exactly how does the lack of eyebrow hair restrict learning?

Forget learning, how does the lack of eyebrow hair show respect for your dead cat?

You know, the best way to cope is to do exactly what the school says, but going further.
Like, shave the intire head. Looks especially cool on white guys. They wont at all look like criminals with Nazi sympathies [/sarcasm]

Don't even joke... I have hair down to the middle of my back, and as a man hate to have it in my face, so I wear bandanas and headbands durring the summer, spring and fall months... Well I am repeatedly told that I can not wear "gang" colors or "doo-rags" constantly, by bars, clubs, and various eateries. I seriously hope I can make a new friend that has cancer so we can go out together and they can tell the same thing to my bald-headed kemotherapy buddy without feeling like a total f**khead.
