I had the hotlix sucker with the grasshopper in it. It tasted like mashed potatoes, but the spine things on his legs hurt when I licked the sucker.

My cousin got the larva (or whatever) one and didnt like the sucker...the bug though, he liked.

There is a booth at the Fall Festival here in Evansville every that has these. I have tried every assorted bug candy they have and they are not that bad, not that good either.

Insects would make a great cheap source of food... But I will stick to what we were intended to eat... good old fashioned plants.

has anyone else here ever smelled a dead cockroach?

i think given the choice, i would rather be left in a house filled with infant diapers than a house filled with dead cockroaches.

so, no larry. no amount of bananas and whipped cream and chocolate drizzle could ever mask the stench (and, i assume, the taste as a result of) a cockroach.

How are you on shrimp, prawns, lobster et al?

They're pretty much the same thing.

There's a reason they smell like that: to attract other roaches in the vicinity. It's true, they're not idiots - that's why they've been here for millions of years and will follow us, contaminating the cargo in space freighters when we finally set up the 1st Starbucks in Alpha Centaury.
