This classic sketch is "Argument to Beethoven's 5th," Sid Caesar and Nanette Fabray play a married couple in a argument with pantomimed action and the dialogue is classic music. Enjoy!

Brilliant! And much too smart to be shown today. And difficult.

As teresag says.
Times change, things move on, and nothing can remain constant, but I do miss performance with this kind of polish. Whilst it does take place, it seems the exception rather than the norm these days.
(It has been worrying me that I do find myself using the phrase "these days" a lot these days. A sign, perhaps, that I am aging?)

« teresag : What'd you say, sonny? You think it's a kind of staging? Well I'm not at a stage where I describe things as a stage.
Damn. Maybe I am.
Hopefully it's just a stage I'm going through.
