Nominations for the Worst Movie Lines Ever
Nominations for the Worst Movie Lines Ever
Some of the most regrettable lines in Hollywood history come from the mouths of babes (Drew Barrymore), Oscar nominees (Tom Cruise), and superheroes (Halle Berry). Here are 15 of the all-time silliest picked by tchengrox 8 months ago

I carried a watermelon! I love that line. It would be dumb if she said, "I carried a lemon."

The watermelon is supposed to be awkward and funny. I don't think it belongs on the 'worst lines in movies ever' list.

Nobody puts Baby in a corner.. I love that movie!

The parameters aren't very well defined. I mean--bad cheesy? Bad stupid? Some of the lines included may seem silly or stupid taken out of context, and a lot are definitely too-oft quoted ("A dingo ate my baby," anyone?) but they most of them contributed to the movie. Of the list, I'd say the line from Storm is the worst, simply because it's a let down.

What no mention of the motherf-ing snakes on the mother f-ing plane?? That has to be one of the lamest lines from the lamest movies around...

On another note, I always liked the watermelon line too.

Only one from the prequels?!

ALL of the interactions between Padmé and Anakin should be on that list!
"Are you an Angel?" is much worse then the Naboo line.

THE LINE: ''I'm gone, like a turkey in the corn. Gobble gobble!''
What does that even mean??

I kind of liked that line, I mean what else would fit when someone is about to fry your frog-like a#$ with a bolt of lightning?

Some of those lines are very poorly written, but in context, they're merely forgettable. Then again, if Hollywood is trying to get art to imitate life (they still have a ways to go), they're doing better than many people I know. Let's try to remember, we can't all be George Carlin ;)

Cheers.

Or how about Anakin/Vader's fatale 'NOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooo' at the end of Revenge of the Sith?

They probably wanted to keep it G-rated (so no mother-****ing snakes, either).

On another note altogether, I disagree with #4 (A bird may love a fish, but where will they live?). It's a good philosophical explanation for a complex issue.

So many people have showed me this. There is no way that it's real. I've never seen the movie (probably not going to either) but his lips aren't even moving correctly to say what we're hearing. Can anyone actually confirm that it's real? My friend swears it's real. He's so convinced he's almost convinced me.

Oh, and I totally agree with the "NOOOOoooooo!" from Star Wars. My brother and I went to the premier and when that line came up I did the whole "It's alive...It's ALIVE!" bit. Made the kids in the front giggle.

" John Barrowman said it for a joke at the request of the director to get a 'response' out of Jenny Mcshane (due to her piss poor acting and zero chemistry.) However, the director decided to keep it in (Barrowman himself said he was mortified lol) and now it has entered the hall of fame for the greatest movie lines ever."

well, that's settled. That is officially the best/worst movie line of all time.
