I actually gasped when I read this headline. He was a fine, fine actor and will be greatly missed.

I also gasped. While I do not know a lot of his work, the stuff he did in the first Jaws I thought was great. Also I am starting to feel old now that actors I grew up watching are dropping like flies.

I had almost the same response my dad just asked if I heard that he died, and my response was, "What did the shark finally get him?". Great actor though, he will be missed.
