So dedicated were they to objectivity in their journalism when critiquing the Black Crowes new album that they didn't want the review to be biased by anything like, you know, actually listening to it.

Horrible. They actually admitted that they sometimes make "educated guesses" on albums without hearing them when the album is not readily available.

Maxim is nowhere near as cool or cutting edge as it used to be.

However, if they said "Only has mean songs about Kate Hudson" then I could go with the educated guess part...
