has a little more info. apparently he suffered from congestive heart failure but the official cause is still unknown.

His solo work was amazing. I wore out his LPs and was thrilled when they were finally released on CD. He had a haunting voice and I still catch myself singing "I Still Love You Anyway" to this day.
I saw him sole once..the concert lineup was Deep Purple, Uriah Heep and Buddy.
So long Buddy and thanks for leaving us with "Dreams to remember".
