Gay Scientists Isolate The Christian Gene
Gay Scientists Isolate The Christian Gene [video]
A group of homosexual scientists, working for years to determine what it is that makes people Christian, have isolated the gene which causes the ailment. They hope to use this finding to cure people of their Christianity. picked by 2manyusernames 9 months ago

« doggylives : If you read I also added a verse from the New Testament that further backs up the bibles condemnation of homosexuality and to say "don't bring Leviticus into this" is ridiculous as the New Testament contains information and prophecy about the christ you believe in
I started typing before you fixed that. I also addressed it later.

Well you've just shown to me how narrow-minded and judgmental you are, just like christians as a "collective".
It's not narrow-minded and judgmental if you read what's straight in the Bible. The majority of the people I'm referring to aren't reading the Bible but making their own decisions which is why you have an issue with Christianity.

Let's stop with the ad hominem arguments, shall we? I'm getting tired of them

So would I be right in saying you believe all practicing homosexuals will "go to the same place" as in hell?

You don't hate gays you just believe they are going to burn forever in eternal torture and pain if they don't "repent"? Wow, if thats your idea of love I don't wanna see how you hate.
haha your humor is showing again.

See, you're projecting your views of God onto me, and I'm not God. I'm stating what the Bible teaches, nothing else. It has nothing to do with my love or hate.

But since you bring it up anyway, the love has nothing to do with sending you to Hell, it has to do with saving you from it. If given the opportunity to save yourself from Hell, most people would do it if they knew they could. Well, according to the Bible, you're given that opportunity and it's your choice to refuse it. You can blame yourself if you go to Hell.

Secondly, it has nothing to do with actions, it has everything to do with your beliefs. A gay person can just as easily get into Heaven as a liar. Sin is sin, as i've repeated before. Any gay person has the same opportunity as me. I am no better.

Hypocrisy is banging on about hypocrites and being one yourself. You've moaned about peoples lack of tolerance towards christianity and how it's terrible that people criticize it all the time and in the same comments you say you believe that millions of "unrepentant" homosexual people are going to hell.
::Sigh:: I don't understand why you don't read my posts very well. I never complained about the lack of tolerance or the constant criticism. I got pissed at how you can stand on your high horse and say that you're not racist (or collectivist) but then you can go and bash a group of people. Really, it's funny that you can be so blinded that you cannot see that. Actually, it's sad.

I believe that millions of Methodists and Catholics and Baptists and Atheists and Murderers and liars and cheaters and Buddhists are going to Hell. It has nothing to do with the fact that they are any of those things, but the fact that they choose not to believe.

Though, I don't know why I bother to explain myself to a blatant hypocrite. (See, I can play the ad hominem game too)

So the whole hell thing is a bit like me hanging you by your legs from a bridge and saying "Unless you say sorry for being an ass in your comments I'm gonna have to drop you" and then when you won't say sorry because you don't think you did anything to say sorry for, me saying "Well it wasn't about me dropping him, it was about me saving him but he chose not to let me".

« mobase : Man, I hope that's sarcasm.

Until you can do that, you're no better than a "racist".
No it's not sarcasm.

Racism is the act of defining a person based on their race. Race, generally speaking, does not (or at least, should not) have a significant effect on who a person is, for example, if a black child is brought up by a white family, then they will behave and act like any other white child. Obviously this is a point for debate but I would ask that you accept this as a "how it should be" description of race.

Christianity is a belief system, therefore by it's very nature it is "collective", it groups people and makes them the same in so much as they all believe the same thing, if I disagree with that belief system then I am able to direct my objections at christians as a whole, because they all subscribe to that belief system.

You seem to be mistaking a specific attack on a persons beliefs as an attack on the person in general, which it is not.

So in summary:
Race does not define a person.
Christianity DOES define a person.

You don't choose your race.
You DO choose your religion.

And I choose to mock your religion, and your belief in it.

Simple.

If thats how you choose to view it, be my guest. I'm not going to waste my time arguing with you about the Bible or God anymore. However, I will say this last comment dealing with that. If you were to hypothetically set up your own morality and your own rules that you would have the right to impose upon the entire world, you would most certainly fall short of your own morality. Thus, you most certainly would have done something wrong anyway. Plus, if you were hanging me by my legs over a bridge, I'd most certainly do anything to keep you from dropping me despite whether or not I believe I did anything wrong.

But anyway I think this horse has been beat to death. No reason to continue arguing with you (or anyone else for that matter).

Because you can't argue with right or reason

**edit** Oh, and it's great you've immortalized your feelings on homosexuality for any members of Plime who are gay or any future visitors to the site who are gay.

Who knows, you may have caused some of the gay members of Plime to see the error of their ways and decide to "choose" not to be gay anymore (well lets hope they do because of the old hell thing, eh?):D

Bravissimo

**edit** I find it amazing that you believe that a person who might be good, honest, righteous, loving, kind and any other good quality will go to hell based on the fact that they are predisposed to love and be attracted to a member of their own gender. Wow. I feel kinda sorry for you.

I think there's two arguments here:

One is about the gene that can isolate homosexuality.

If homosexuals claim to be born like that, then most certainly there is a gene for it, and it can be isolated.

The other argument is, do we consider homosexuality to be normal behaviour, i.e. equal to heterosexuality, or do we consider it to be deviant behaviour?

Well, the process of sexuality is there for the biological purpose of reproduction.

By that nature, the sexual act is defined as intercourse between a male and a female.

In the animal kingdom (and atheists believe we all come from animals), the norm is heterosexuality.

Therefore, homosexuality is not "normal" according to nature, i.e. nature did not intend and did not provide any biological use for homosexual relationships.

Though I said that I would not argue anymore, I feel the need to defend myself from such a blatant mischaracterization of what I said.

I never said that gays were choosing to be gay, you just assumed it. I just said that gays were no more deserving of Hell than you or I. Notice: I just put myself on the same level of gays, something a bigot would not do. Their "final destination" has nothing to do with being gay, but rather being human. Please don't misinterpret what I said again. I know you have difficulty understanding some things that I say, so if you have any questions feel free to ask me before mischaracterizing me.

Haha you're so funny. Yet again, I never said once that anyone is going to hell because they're gay. Haha it's as if you think that I think gays will be the only ones in Hell. Yet, I blatantly argued against that. Hmm..maybe we should do a little more reading?

Frankly, it has nothing to do with how good you are on earth. Jesus never said that. Because, well frankly, that's part of the love I was talking about. If Jesus can forgive anyone, including murderers, shouldn't that mean that he could forgive our lowly sins? But, no, Jesus is this horrible person that likes to send people to hell just for fun so he can watch them burn. Haha, you're pathetic.

It amazes me, still, that you can preach tolerance yet have such an intolerant view of anything that is not your set of beliefs. I don't know how you can live with yourself

once again a post that was meant to be funny has turned into an all out religion war. you know what? JUST GET OVER IT! i'm not defending nor condoning anyone's actions on this thread, but instead trying to point out that there are idiots everywhere.

one thing my mom taught me when i was a kid is if you are offended by something that someone said then it must be true or else you would laugh at it and wal away. those of you who HAVE been offended by these posts know what i'm saying.

JUST....LET....IT....GO...and save this space for people who are here to enjoy themselves, not get wrapped up in a religious debate.

I will quote you directly as you seem to back-peddle a lot

Most Christians don't have an understanding of how Christianity works. All sin is sin, regardless of what sin it is. Thus, homosexual actions would be just as bad as lying. Most Christians don't understand that and they get their views warped by half-truths or lies.
So you believe that a practicing homosexual is a sinner and therefore will go to hell unless they repent or stop their homosexual "actions".

I never said that gays were choosing to be gay, you just assumed it. I just said that gays were no more deserving of Hell than you or I. Notice: I just put myself on the same level of gays, something a bigot would not do
You put yourself on the same level as "gays"? well thats mighty magnanimous of you.

I wonder if you realize how pious, preachy and judgmental you sound.

Haha, you're pathetic.
Wow, that's not rude and insulting at all. You're a typical hypocrite who can't see their own actions for the mist of self-righteous mumbo-jumbo they believe in.

Oh, so you DO know what hypocrisy is. I was doubting you for a minute, because you were having difficulty understanding what hypocrisy was earlier. I wrote that specifically to see if you really understood what hypocrisy was. Turns out you do. I'm so proud :). It sounds like you're finally learning something useful.

p.s. stop with the ad hominems, you've been doing it constantly and it's a debate fallacy. You're showing your inferiority here.

Wow, did Christ teach you how to view people as inferior or did you learn that on your own?

You just come across as soooo smug and up ur own ass.

I won't be commenting on any of your comments again because it's futile. You believe the bigoted, hypocritical, judgmental things that you believe and I happen to believe that there is no magically awful place like hell and I live my life as best I can using my morals as a compass and don't live in fear of burning in hell and that works just fine for me.

You obviously feel what you believe is right and everyone else is wrong like so many other religious people so good for you.

A.) Your inferiority was in your debate style, not inferiority as a person. I guess I need to be a little for clear for some of you common folk.

B.) I couldn't care less if you never responded to one of my posts again. I don't, however, believe in bigoted, hypocritical, judgmental things (p.s. that was an ad hominem argument you presented there). Live your life how you'd like. I wasn't telling you how to.

Let's see here. Hypocritical statement number 50 (I think we're at 50 from you but I'm not entirely sure). You're allowed to believe that you're right and everyone else is wrong, but you're not this zealot because, of course, you're you. But when I think I'm right, I'm this religious nazi. I think you need to go read up on what is and what is not hypocrisy, because you've been so blinded against it
