When I read the description for the video I went "Hell no, I wouldn't do that" then I watched the video and started thinking hmmmmmm would I lol

This idea was a plot in a episode of "The New Twilight Zone" in the 80's.Creepy episode if you were a child at that time.

I know. It makes me wonder, if this were how it were to go down, what vice they would use for me? And what would I choose...

I was kinda hoping that the button he pressed actually killed him. The irony would be amazing.

At the same time, it makes it even more interesting that the person before him pressed the button to kill him. Hmmm.

I have this here before...but it was many moons ago and I am not about to look it up. I remember it quite well. It is very intriguing indeed.

I was thinking that I would push the button, and use the money to save more lives. I mean, many people die of diseases that could be cured for just a few hundred dollars. So, I wonder how you would be judged if you took the money while planning to help others.

I found the end to be dreadfully predictable.

Also, Satan didn't make a fair deal with the protagonist. He held back the most critical information of all: that the gentleman was already dead, that the money wouldn't really go to help his family, that his fate for all eternity was at stake, etc.

Someone might argue of course that Satan, being evil, isn't in the business of making fair deals with people & their souls. But historically Satan has always (except in this case) been portrayed making perfectly fair deals with potential sinners. Satan always lays all the facts out in plain view. If not, the sinner wouldn't be responsible for its own decisions.

Even if this isn't a dupe...it is REALLY old.

That is true about Satan. But he wasn't Satan. He was God's Agent. He was God's Vicar.

If he was speaking on behalf of God, then that's at least as bad, perhaps even worse. At least Satan gives everyone a fair chance. If God is in the business of tricking its constituency into making poor choices, then God is much like a used-car salesman.

I found an interesting site for old episodes but I can't find the one I am thinking of.

I'm fairly certain that the one it is based on was from the 80's... It was called "Button Button", and I could not find it in the list of the original two seasons which can be watched in their entirety at cbs.com.
