Marzials is clearly a precursor of Sylvia Plath.

To be honest, I'm not sure. It's kind of like the poetic b*****d offspring of The Eye of Argon and Naked Came the Stranger, both absolute crap in their own right.

I challenge anyone here to read out loud the Eye of Argon without laughing after a page or so. You've got to do it in your best serious voice, though.

Good lord. I have to bookmark that, so if I ever have to do a public speech, I can quote it.
The disemboweled mercenary crumpled from his
saddle and sank to the clouded sward, sprinkling the parched dust
with crimson droplets of escaping life fluid.

wow the Eye of Gargon is like the movie Heavy Metal (or the magazine I guess) written in prose form by some guy looking through a thesaurus and piling on the most adjectives he can think of.
