I hate to be a nitpicker but they refer to the Pig as a prototype in the same sentence where they explain that this pig is the same as the other pigs PF has used in the past.
Maybe I'm missing something but if there are a bunch of these things and they're exactly the same, they're not prototypes.

The skeptic in me wonders if "losing" the pig, was just a publicity stunt.
This got PF back in the headlines for a bit, as well as an Obama message.
But maybe that's just me.

My uncle worked for the company that made this and others, such as as king kong for the empire state building.
They were working on different gases for flotation and Super Man got away - a 40ft "flying pose" superman - sending him across the san diego valley - landing on a hillside.
He's still mum to this day if it was a true accident. ;) - it ended up on the front page and had local news coverage.

Coachella and La Quinta are about 20 miles apart, east to west. And neither is near the windmill farms, so what could have shredded the porker?
