Luckily, the ignorant wannabe, the "Police Comunity Support Officer" is wrong in his interpretation of the law.

The PCSOs may be helpful in some situations, but they are not police officers and are much more likely to make mistakes. Mistakes which often times gets posted here.

So do Chev's think that cameras steal their souls? It's interesting to learn about other cultures!

Tell me more about the strange ways of England, Daily Mail!

"Last week, the Daily Mail reported that a father was told by a play equipment supervisor he was not allowed to take pictures of his own children on a slide."

My mom better stop showing people that pic of me in the tub when I was 5yrs old before she gets arrested! :O

Can any of our British members shed some light on what is going on with your youth? Ours are just as bad, so I'm not pointing fingers, but where ours stab each other and beat people in city settings, I read more and more about this kind of thing happening in the suburbs in England.

I'm just curious if there are any theories behind this.

Clearly the problem comes from video games, TV, and junk food. Oh, and the parents aren't to blame either.

Hopefully the sarcasm is evident enough.

Did you guys miss what the teens were doing? They weren't fighting, they weren't spray painting graffiti, no, they were throwing cans of coke around.

So who's in the wrong here, some teens doing absolutely nothing illegal, or the creepy old guy who decides to take pictures of them for no reason?

"He said: 'We've had problems with this group shouting abuse and throwing stones for months, and were asked to identify them."

Sort of null and voids the "no reason"

btw, at least here in the states - if you're in public - you're open to have your photo snapped. period.

Have you ever been hit by a full can of Coke? Even if it was empty it's still littering, even if they picked it up they were still being asshats. Sorry but I am a big bloke but I still think twice about taking my daughter to the local playpark in the evening. My advice is next time shoot them with a shotgun instad of a camera.

You ever been hit by a shotgun?

(And man, now I really understand how to get my head bitten off: side with a teenager on plime.)

Side with a teen that isn't a loudmouthed arrogant good for nothing and you will be fine. Come round our way and try to side with a teen that spits at you as you walk past and then throws bricks at your window if you say anything back to them and yes, you will get your head bitten off.

I wouldn't downvote for voicing an opinion, even if I do think it's wrong. If you became abusive about it I would.

If you're in a public place why couldn't a legitimate photographer take a picture of you? Because its not art suddenly its malicious and wrong? Go home to your bedroom if you want some privacy.

? No one has bitten off your head or even mildly slapped you. They have merely pointed out where you were wrong in your interpretation.

The "creepy old man" was an uncalled for bit of slander but we'll let that go. As has been stated, it is legal to take pictures. The kids may or may not have been doing anything wrong at that exact moment (and that is assuming they weren't throwing the cans) but doesn't mean they haven't been or were preparing to do something wrong that the man was trying to document.

In any case, no one was biting your head off. No one downvoted you.

Of course it's the parent's fault. It's always the parents fault. Lord knows kids don't have any will of their own. And they're not always doing what ever crap they think can get away with. I NEVER did!

Even better video games, TV AND junk food are going to be the downfall of all mankind. I'm starting my manifesto now. Gotta learn how to make the bombs and stuff though. Gotta go. I've got a lot of work to do.
