After many years, The Rolling Stones have ended their contract with EMI, switching to Universal instead and taking much of their back catalogue with them.
Although not detailed in the article linked above, this is most likely as a reaction to the appointment of Guy Hands - a man with no experience of the music business - as chairman of EMI.
