Scrabulous - free online Scrabble, FTW! Posted: 4 months ago by RowanGrey
I spend far too much time playing Scrabulous. You can play both TWL and SOWPODS dictionaries, and choose between several different game types. You can play solitaire against a robot or all by your lonesome. WARNING: Pretty much guaranteed to become addictive.

Great site, but a bit too popular.

They are being sued and like previous scrabble sites, there is an good chance it won't last long at least not in its present form

You know, I heard about that, and I really think the absolute best resolution for everyone would be for whomever makes Scrabble to license their game to places like Scrabulous. I NEVER played the board game version until I played it extensively online. Now I own two Scrabble boards and Mr. Grey and I play all the time. So the pirated online version actually ended up making Scrabble some money.

That is the argument many have made. Online sites such as this one and others have revitalized Scrabble.

Many people had regulated it to grandpa's game. The internet helped increase its popularity or at least helped enlarge its demographic base and Hasbro thanks them by suing them.
