Good point, but it really wasnt the Muppet Show. Muppets tonight was a bit more realistic, scary, and creepy, trying to keep with the 90s. They did a lot of stuff different with it, and our favorite characters weren't featured as much as we wanted. Though the rasta muppet is pretty bad ass.

It always seemed like the natural progression to me - the format was almost identical.

But wouldn't it be great to see Ellen on the Muppet Show? Or Tom Hanks? Or *gasp* McCain/Obama? (Perhaps that should be our litmus test of presidents — how they deal with talking to puppets). If they can duplicate that format I am all for it. Right now they are on Disney with DC Almost Live. Not quite the same, but mildly amusing. Shoots more toward the tweeny set. I want them to do what they did ALLLLL those years ago. It was muppets doing comedy that adults could appreciate with guest stars that the GROWN UPS knew and liked. Well some of them I liked too. Anyway...I will at least be willing to watch one to see what they come up with.
