A 'boot' is where we puts our feets when it's cold or wet.

A 'bout' is a tussle with the boys who've been slaggin' us all here, for all dis time.

A 'but' is a conjunction; rarely mispronounced, "but" should be unmistakable. And yet...

A 'butte' is a stony feature good for touristy photograph backgrounds.

A 'beaut' is something topically attractive/relevant/succinct/useful.

Sounds are fascinating; to me, only the above "butte/beaut" are homonyms.
