All of the famous 1940's Fleischer/Famous Studios Superman series of shorts is available for download. They are considered to be a classic series thanks to its high production values and historical significance not only as the first comic-to-film adaptation, but also as an occasional vehicle for American propaganda during the war.

I also find them very interesting because of the difference between Superman's power levels then vs. now. He was a lot closer to being just an extremely tough human then, while DC has had to scale him back on multiple occasions since then when they realized he was getting too god-like.
