This 88 year old woman, named Gladys, a regular watcher is a comedic genius. She called Ellen with a suggestion about a plant, and when Ellen called back, hilarity ensues. This woman is AMAZING.

How did she hear that? They put her through for the whole audience to hear, and the mic that Ellen is wearing is what is actually feeding the audio that Gladys hears, not the phone. The phone is just for show.
