I should put an egg on the flippin' sidewalk to show the girls how hot it is! I just checked. The local temperature is 114 degrees! Yes, you read that right. 114...degrees...Fahrenheit. And it isn't even the hottest time of the day yet! o.O I am sure there are some out there who can beat that. For those who can, stay inside and drink plenty of water. We are hunkering down in the AC. It is supposedly the last super hot day...well at least until the next heat wave hits.

Your nation should really convert to metric. It's such a pain to run to a conversion calculator to discover the temperatures (or volumes, distances..etc) you all talk about.
That aside.... Suckers!!! It's a balmy 23 here, and there's an icy lake for an icy dip if we get too hot in the sun.
The carkies sound like fun, though.

It was 95 yesterday, and I was forced to go to the beach.
SPF 45 sunscreen, 7 dollars.
Rental of 3, count 'em 3 beach umbrellas for to create a triangle of blessed shade, 30 dollars.
3 hrs on the beach and no change in my skin color, priceless!
