Born in Fort Worth Texas raised in Austin Texas. I like the whole community pretty much but not a big fan of the 6th street area. I am starting to get restless again and I am thinking of leaving.
«subobisis : North Americans are supposed to speak North American English. =P
Canadians speak Canadian English.
I was born and raised in Indonesia until the age of 14. I then moved to British Columbia, Canada because of a problem with my mother's work permit. The government of Indonesia only allows expatriates to stay in the country for a limited time, after which they have to either leave or be forcibly deported. Been in Canada for roughly two months now, and I miss home.
I was born and raised in Miami, FL... moved to Nicaragua when I was 7 or 8, then moved back to Miami for High School, and now I'm in Sarasota/Bradenton Florida for art school.
Adolescence here in Lawrence, Kansas. I highly recommend that you all leave your homes and come here. The only thing that could possibly make this place better is having more Plimates here.
I love this town and I imagine I've beaten the topic to death, much like suebe and her car so I'll just leave it at that.

You're all welcome to come visit though :)
I think Josh Ritter thinks the same. His song 'Lawrence Kansas' is one of my favorites by him. (This is a shoddy video of the song, but it's all I could find easily on the internets at the moment.)
I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. My parents had emigrated there from the Netherlands in the mid-fifties. Went to school and university there, did my two years of national (military) service mostly in nearby Pretoria. Worked (quite a bit in the field, out of a caravan) in various northern parts of the country. Moved to Ghana with my wife and kids in the mid-nineties, until about 2001. Moved to the Netherlands, where my wife still works and two sons study. Third son lives and studies back in South Africa. And since mid-2005 I live and work in Ghana again, until the middle of 2008.
So when people ask us where we're from, they tend to get confusing and conflicting answers from my family. This happened in the States once, when we were on holiday there. People clearly thought we were nuts.
And I know we really are confused because we can't really decide where "home" is... so we just say that it's wherever we feel "at home" at any particular time.
I almost gave myself a heart attack there; I decided to see who was closest to where I lived and zoomed in on the UK, then on wirral, then on Heswall, then in a bit further, then thought OMG theres someone lives just down the road from me!!!! . Then I clicked the name and found it was me. Hmm i don't remember doing that but hey ho.
«Nicky666 : I've lived in Utrecht all my life, that's a town right in the middle of Holland.
Boring, huh? I'm not planning on moving anytime soon either.
My dad's from Maarssen/Breukelen, not too far from you. I just know Utrecht from visits to the University library there, and of course the railway station, passing through and connecting from Eindhoven, where our house is.
A warning: If you keep "exposing" your soul to all this pliming, you will almost certainly one day be lured out of little old Holland, and into the wide world.
After two years in Acton Burnell I went to Aberystwyh for the alliteration. And the University. After Uni I stayed there for another 4 years before moving to Worthing, which is where I still am.
