That really bothered me too. It makes me feel like a poser when I listen to the original now. I used to have the lyrics to that song as my AIM away message whenever I was at work - like several years ago. Can't do that anymore.
Though I sorta have to admit, since he sampled such an awesome song, he was able to create something pretty cool. I mean, it's entirely different than the original, but it definitely put an interesting spin on it. I do enjoy both versions in their own ways. I like listening to Kanye's when I'm driving. Well the thing that pisses me off even more is that usually when people sample, they'll change it a bit and try to put their own spin on it. He didn't even do that. That sample was straight off of what DP did live on their past tour which started in 06. I've never really liked Kanye because he's completely full of himself and this makes me dislike him even more. I have actually heard this on the radio in the morning on a Spanish station. Maybe Cuban who knows, I don't speak Spanish. I guess Cuban, because it was closely followed by Guajira Guantanamera. This is the Japanese version:
