No bugs please, just suggestions and features you'd like to see. Bugs go in the other Post Here thread.

flag post option in the forums?

I'd like to see:

The ability to search for users by name
The ability to collapse the "My Friends" list and only open those whose names start with "M" for example
The ability to search for users by "status" (What's that called, anyway? Rank?)
The ability to click on "My Interests" and see a page showing the combined picks from my favourite categories
The ability to mark an item, a thread or an entire forum "watched" to be notified when posts are made to it
A preview feature when posting
The ability to see when or if a forum post was edited
An "ignore" feature to help filter out trolls
Mr. Nelson's flag feature (both for forum posts and link submissions)

Guidelines. What's not okay to post? Is this going to be squeaky clean like Worth, filled with trolls like Fark and Usenet, or somewhere in the middle? Can I rant about politics and religion? Can I swear?

You can see the revisions to a given interest by looking at the revisions tab in the settings for an interest. Getting an email for every new item could leave you with a lot of emails, or am I missing your point here?

Edit: Nevermind, I think I did misinterpret

Get rid of that damn edit thing. Or at least replace it with an "add to comment" option - which is pointless as thats what a forum is anyway.

I can see serious problems. Idiots will change peoples posts just because they dont agree. Even worse, could make an intelligent comment look like its been written by a prat.
The not-so-idiotic people, who actually want to benefit from this wont abuse the edit feature at all. I think its unfair to give idiots and prats a chance to ruin descent peoples views - views that might really matter to them.

I can only see the edit feature being used by morons. Surely there the last people who should have access to a feature like that.

Apart from that, damn good piece of work.

keyword relationships

I.E. at the bottom of each pick have a related picks link that I can click to see other picks using some of the same keywords.

e.g. If I Pick a Jessica Simpson story about Dukes of Hazard, and add "Jessica Simpson" and "Dukes of Hazard" and "WB" into the keywords section then a link should be created at the bottom of that pick to show other picks with related information....

It would be great if the ability to "Pick It" disappeared after the item has been picked. This saves the pickers the time of going through an item which has already been promoted to the "All Hand Picked."

(Another Wish Granted) Thanks Jax

I think i'd like to see a comment count for each user in the forums. I like it in worth, because someone with a high comment count carries with them a lot more credibility in my mind than someone with a very low comment count.

I'd like to see timestamps in chat. Also, how much chat gets archived? Each time I go onto it, the load-up time is longer and longer. Keep a 24 hour cap on the archive?

Well, that's essentially what the star system does. if a user has a high star rating, you know they are respected.

eh, i think thats about good. how about a add-on feature where if more news develops on a previously linked topic (strange beast found dead) anyone can post the latest news on that topic (mystery beast is simply a dog). catch my drift?

I just counted the number of comments, (yes, I'm a nerd) and it was at 117. Not to include all the "user has joined"/"user has left" stuff. I copied and pasted the text, and total number of lines in the word document turned out to be 7 pages at size 12 font. :|

I'm using firefox, does that make a difference? 50 would be solid, but its not doing that for me right now.
