Yep.

Go find your story and click on the "X comments" link just beside the "prune" button. That'll take you to a page with a big "edit" link at the top of the page.

Just a question about the tabs on main page.
Is it "new" picks or "news" picks?
Page header and tabs are different.

1) At the top of this page there is a "Save Interest" button. What is it and what does it do??

2) I understand the point of the rating fellow users, but what determines if they deserve a 5 or a 2? Is it based on how much I like that person or whether I know them at all? I'm not understanding this....

3)On my Profile page it shows a section called "Interests by Participation". What is that and how do I add to it?

4) Are you able to PM different users? If yes, how?

About Plime
Plime is an editable wiki community where users can add and edit weird and interesting links. Users earn karma when other users vote on their actions. The more karma you have, the more power you have at Plime.

May I answer please?

1. After saving a catagory, all the new posts to that catagory go to your profile to make browsing your faves easier. It also shows percentages of your most used faves through the 'Interest by participation' area..

2. I personally use the vote for how usefull I see the user. I have tried to veer away from voting for people just because I know them from elsewhere. It seems to avoid the point of the site.

3. See the answer to question 1.

4. You have your own personal chat in your profile. So does everyone else. Just go to their chat and leave a message. This isnt neccesarily private but its the best at the mo.

If ive answered anything wrong I apologise.

1) Nevermind. I figured it out. Thanks!!

2) Thanks. That's how I've been voting.

3) Sorry about the duplicate question. I copied my questions from Worth when I didn't receive an answer there.

4)Thanks. I understand that one!! :-)

Here's a new question:

Will we be getting e-mails when someone responds to our posts, like we do at Worth??

More Questions:

1) Where do you get pictures to post next to the links?

2) Who are the "Weekly Leaders"? And how did they get that way?

3) Also, what is "rss harvested"? I clicked on the page, but it doesn't really mean anything to me.

then uploading at the bottom of the page where
you make your posting.

2)
3)Don't know either

1. When submitting an article, the thumbnail option is at the bottom. You can get an image off your comp or link to one on the web. Im sure jaxomLOTUS posted something saying not to worry about copyright as they are only used as thumbnails

2. You climb the leader board by adding articles that people click on. This pushes you to make better headlines and description to attract users.

3. Click that link for a good rss explanation. The harvested just means they have been harvested.

When we are crediting links for articles we post, do we link the site we got the story from or do we link the original site, if there are multiple links? For instance, I see a story on MSN and decide to put it up on Plime. MSN got the story from, say, BBC.co.uk. Do we credit MSN where we got the story or do we credit BBC where the story originated?

You credit the first place you found the link: MSN. BBC will get the click through since the link points to them anyway.

Would it be possible to have an "other" category on the prune popup menu, with the ability to elaborate? i.e., "please edit the description, as it takes up 100+ lines", that sort of thing?

I think setting a maxmimum number of characters on the description would solve this problem.

Just a quickie.
I hope, clicking on my own article doesnt show up in the ratings.

A - Because I dont want to be seen as trying to cheat. I sometimes click on one of my own links if a friend is round and I want to show him/her something.

B - It helps to elliminate cheating.

Has this been done?

Don't worry, it's not counted as cheating and won't effect scoring once the system is trafficked. You can click your links as many times as you like.

What about voting for yourself by accident??

OR, what happens when you vote for other people more than once? Is it counted again?

I have to remove future voting for one's self. (Done, in fact).

Voting for someone more than once erases the original vote and passes the new one.
