i too got suckered by the flashback/forward thing, but i think that jin WAS one of the oceanic six. something tells me he made it back to civilization and then something happened to him and he died before sun gave birth. she was wearing black when we saw her and my first thought was she looks like she's dressed for a funeral. that was my gut feeling anyway. then she went into labor and the jin flashes started. as soon as i saw hurley in a suit though i knew jin was dead. i think sun missed the funeral because she was having the baby and that's why no one was there. maybe jin didn't handle the transition back to the mainland well and started doing the time flashy thing.

the whole thing with regina wrapping herself up in chains and jumping over was pretty freaky but michael on the boat wasn't a big surprise for me either. mostly because i'd heard months ago that he was back in hawaii filming some scenes for the show...

i think maybe claire was one of the 'survived the crash but didn't make it off' people. i think the other would be the marshall that was transporting kate.

No, it's more likely Michael. Why wouldn't anyone show up for Walt's funeral?

Also, the marshal isn't one of the ones who survived the crash but died, Jack already said he died in the crash during the trial.

I think the funeral is Locke. Somehow he got/was taken off the island. Even though he clearly did not want off. Probably Ben got him out of there.

The Death date on Jin's tombstone was 9-22-2004 (the date of the crash) so, whatever the "cover story" is, it include's him dying in the crash.

Holy Crap! I did not see that! And I didn't record it so I can't go back and look. I checked out Lostpedia and saw it there.

I didn't see it coming that Jin was dead either. I was in those flashfowards. And I said, "well their forward seems happy." and that last one with Jin when he said he had only been married 2 months. I was real confused. Then when the show was over I said to Lark, "well that was poopy!"

I am now more confused than ever. I would say, "I HATE THAT SHOW!" but I reserve that one for 24.

So then WHO are the other 2? I would say one has to be Claire, since she had the kid on the island but it seems she didn't make it. Maybe the other is Charlie? Like they want to honor his memory and how he gave his life? Doubtful, though, it's probably Locke and yeah it likely IS his funeral.

I have no doubt Locke will continue his descent into a utilitarian murderer, and I also think he's got a real bad end coming.

That reminded me, if i miss an episode or two, and see the next one, i am totally lost (no pun intended) as to whats going on

I loved last week's episode, and I too was tricked by the flashforwards/backs. But there were just a few things that seemed weird. If the story is that Jin died in the crash, how is he the father? Or are they saying the father was someone else? And also, did they have graves like that for everyone who supposedly died in the crash? Why did Hurley come all the way to Korea just to see Jin's grave, and if he did, did he do that for everyone else's?

I dunno the answers to any of these, I just wanted to throw them out there. In my opinion, Jin is still alive and on the island. I don't think that the last of the Oceanic 6 will be anyone already hinted at (Aaron, Michael, Walt, Ben). Michael and Walt are using fake names, so they probably aren't making a big deal of themselves, and I'm sure Ben wouldn't want himself to be in the spotlight either, because he's clearly got some evil plan going on and has connections to people in the real world. And I don't think they'd count Aaron just because he's a baby. I'm still working on my guess for the last one though.

Another thing I just remembered, if somebody staged the plane crash in the Sundra Trench (I think it was Charles Widmore), whose bodies did they put down there? Were they just random bodies they found? You'd think someone would do some tests and find out those people weren't the ones on the plane.

I will respond to what you have left. Jin died along with the others who died trying to get off the island. The story says that he didn't die in the crash.

Since it was too close to tell, she could easily say she was impregnated right before she got on the island.

Actually it was China, and Hurley is still rich so I am sure he can afford to go to any funeral/baby thing he wants.

i think it was definitely a set up. ben has had it in for karl for a while now. he doesn't like him pawing at 'his' little girl. it probably wasn't ben's group doing the shooting but i'm sure ben knew they'd be shot at. he got rid of his karl and danielle problem just like he took care of the goodwin problem. he even made sure alex knew they'd try to use her to get to him and i'm certain he has plans to snatch her back later on.

But WHO did it? Why would Ben risk his daughter? Unless he was absolutely sure she wouldn't get hit.
