I have noticed that many women I work around seem to have a pair of shoes for every outfit, and that got me wondering.


How many Pairs of shoes do you have?

My collection is limited to 3

-Basic pump
-Party Pump
-Sneaker

Probably 60+ pairs of black shoes for all different occasions - pumps, flats, dressy, casual, snow, rain, boots...

About another 10 pairs of colored shoes that I forget I own.

Countless pairs of sandals.

And, several pairs of shoes that I no longer wear but I hold onto, including

1980's vintage red high heeled "f-me" shoes

1970's vintage beige and red suede maryjanes with a red "Che Guevara" star on the front

Christian Dior limousine shoes that my friend gave me - I've never worn them since I don't ride in limos

1970's vintage platform shoes that my niece tried to wear, but kept wobbling so she returned them

Very very vintage green/black shoes, about size 4, that belonged to my grandmother. I'm guessing they're from the '30's or '40's.

I've often wondered about this too. I don't see the use of having THAT many shoes... But then again, I'm a guy. I don't think at any time have I owned more than 4 pairs at once. Maybe when I was a baby... But that can hardly be my fault...

Oh my, I couldn't tell you. I have maybe 40 pairs?

I have heels in every colour of the rainbow, several classy pumps for work, and a few pairs of sandles. I usually find killer shoe sales, so I can justify buying two pairs if they're what I was expecting to pay for one set. I once had a pair of crocs, but I was smart enough to never wear them in public.

I've also got a super duper warm pair of skidoo boots; they've got a 5cm sole so that my feet stay warm when it's -50. I've got one old manky set of hiking boots (note to self: it's time to buy new ones), and a few nice pairs of hiking shoes and stuff.

My favourite shoes, at the moment, are adorable brassy gold flats with a heart-shaped buckle and a very square toe.

Brown mary janes, black mules, one pair of tevas, one pair classic crocs, one pair of croc scutes, insulated hiking boots, regular hiking boots, running shoes.


And one pair of peep-toe mary janes that I adore but will never wear because I seriously do not need 3 inch heels.

OM teh Gzors I only have 3 pairs of shoes. =P

Work, social, and dress.

I must totally go out and buy 40 more just to be safe. =)

Well, I thought I had 3 pairs maximum, but then I checked and found the following:

1 pair of 6-hole DMs for daily use
2 pairs of sneakers, used rarely
1 pair of formal black leather shoes, used rarely
1 pair of hiking shoes, used every now and then
1 pair of warm hiking boots, used rarely
1 pair of sneaker-style safety shoes with steel toe cap, used for special operations

Although 3 of those are rather "functional" shoes than anything else, I think I'd better enroll here.

believe it or not, as a woman, i only have 3 pairs of shoes. a pair of black, low heels for going out, a pair of flip flops for every day use, and a pair of slip-ons for work or misc.

I have a lot of shoes. I have not actually counted. I would guess it is about 30ish?

I have been put on a shoe moratorium. The only way that it is let up is if I throw a pair away when I buy a new one (leeh is such an awful man).

Most of my shoes are black but, as I have explained to leeh that there are reasons we need different shoes. Some pants look better with shorter heels while others (because I am a whopping 5'4") are too long so I need higher heels. Some shoes have pointy toes and some have rounded toes.

I have about 5 pairs of converse low-top chucks, but hey, you can never have too many different colored pairs of chucks, right?

Then there is the need for good sneakers for walking or running.

And then boots. I have Docs, Monkey Boots, Uggs and knee high black boots that I wear for work with skirts to cover my leg tattoos.

Shall I go on? :P

4 pairs of boots 2 calf length, 2 knee length.
2 pairs of skater sneakers, one of which I stole from my little brother :D the other I stole from my little sister and colored them to have purple and green details.
1 pair of sneakers i never wear (bought for 'exercising' lol)

All in all any time you see me I will probably be wearing my huge boots, or my purple & green vans.

3 pairs of semi-dressy shoes
2 pairs of ankle boots (brown and black)
1 pair of Chinese silk slippers
1 pair of Jack Skellington flip-flops
1 pair of black heels (worn once)
1 pair of skull-and-crossbones black flats

15 pair. However, 98% of the time, I'm wearing the Crocs (mostly the Mammoth) because that's what I wear to work.

So I guess I have 15 pairs of shoes, but only maybe 2 that I actually wear.

I would never in a million years be able to pull those off, but I loooooooooooove them!

All of you womens who have less than 12 pairs of shoes are my dream womenz....yall want me to take a picture of my wife's shoe closet? She is a short woman, and I think all short women have lots of shoes to make them look taller...but her collection used to be straight up ridiculous. It has gotten better since we have had kids and I indulge her because I know how much she likes shoes but 4real she has a LOT of shoes.

I was bored.
